Decisiones curiae supremae Scotiae - Practicks 1540-1549 .

Neatly written, but the ink is faded, therefore quite difficult to read. The text of the first items is lacking. The preserved text starts after the heading of item 16. The items are not numbered. The present manuscript does not intersect items by inserting intermediate headings as seen in MS Laing III.388a (and thus also in the provisional edition). A later hand has transformed some year dates of 1549 into 1550.

I have checked the presence and sequence of items, and have controlled that no text is lacking where quires end.

Item 233 'The xxi day of the said moneth ...' has at the end of its heading the word 'rei' (and thus confirms the pertinent conjecture in the provisional edition).

Item 270 (fol. 24v) 'Mr. James Montray' - whereas the provisional edition has 'Murray'
