All wryts, acording to the Act of Parliament Ja. 6. 13. 175, sould make special mention in the hinder part therof, before the inserting of the witnesses, of the name, surname and remaining place of the wryter of the bodye of the wryte - (without) the samyn to make no faith in judgment nor outwith the same. Bot this may be supplied by condescending on the wryter and his abyding therby.

    A wryte conceived also without a dait is null, or if the same be false. Quod falsum dictum est de data, falsum est in omnibus. But holographon will supplie the want of a subscription, and it will be esteemend equivalent as if a persone had subscryvit the same. Scriptura enim, quod sit subscripta non est necesse, sed sufficit quod constet seu probetur manu sua scripta
