Decisiones curiae supremae Scotiae - Practicks 1550-1577 .

Same handwriting as in Sinclair's Practicks. No title. Only a note in the margin says 'Lethington's practiques'. Each item bears a heading. The scribe set out to number the items consecutively, but ceased to do so after only two pages. The text is much better than in the Orr MS on which Sutherland's edition is based: it is less shortened, and in particular less references to Jus Commune are left out.

Although the scribe still copied from his model MS the abbreviations of old Scottish word forms ('no.t', 'q.k', 'q.n', etc.), he obviously pronounced them in their English form (thus 'not', 'which', 'when', etc.). This can be assumed, because, whenever he spelled a word out, he spelled it out in English, and never in Scots.

[{i}First item finishes different from Sutherland's edition:{/i}] ... ubi agitur de rebus alibi captis vel conventis, aught to be judgit efter the commoun law. And that be the pratick of the realme. And the Lords wer competent judges [{i}omitting the words'notwithstanding the Inglishmans salve conducte'{/i}].
