Ius proprium Scotiae - Practicks (general digest of law, systematic) (preparatory draft for the arrangement) .

{i}The proposed arrangement already corresponds to Balfour's Practicks - with the following slight variants: Balfour's Practicks have the same six groups of subject matters but do not call these six groups 'books'. Furthermore, in Balfour's Practicks the titles 'Notaries' and 'Probation by writ' are inverted, and the title 'Advocation of churches' is postponed after the title 'Challenge', and at the end of each group of subject matters some more matters are appended. Within this arrangement, Balfour's Practicks have split some lengthy titles of the present manuscript into several new titles which are more specific. A similar phenomenon also occurs the other way round: the present manuscript contains separate titles whose contents are fused together in Balfour's Practicks to become just one title.{/i}].
