Rubric: The Sederunt Book of the judges established by usurper Cromwell, called the 'Commissioners for Administratione of Justice to the People of Scotland', from the 1st of November 1654 to the 23d of February 1659 - is the commencement of that pretendit judicature. In quhich establishment the judges named were - (most?) of them - ignorant of our lawes, and the number fewer then the Institutione of the Colledge of Justice appoints. And all off them commissionat by commissions under the Great Seale - way never knowne before. And their proceedings will be found sometym alse illegall as their commissions
