Glossae ad Digestum vetus et ad Infortiatum
Author(s):
Glossae ad Digestum vetus et ad Infortiatum . At least four layers of pre-accursian glosses. Their colour of ink differs in degrees between a reddish brown and dark blackish brown. Glosses of the oldest layer, written by several hands in light ink (colour: reddish brown), are often preceded by a siglum y. On the first sheets these glosses were treated with chemicals, to darken their ink in order to facilitate reading, but this treatment has corroded the pachment so that the glosses are now almost illegible. The archetype from which these glosses descend appears to have been a volume which either belonged to Irnerius or to a pupil of him. Many of these glosses have been transcribed and published by Enrico Besta in his book on Irnerius.
Younger layers of glosses transmit Dissensiones dominorum, and Distinctiones by Azo Portius
