XVII</p> <p> Watermark: large jug with letters P and beneath OO, on the base a clover leaf, along the rim of the lid a series of eight circles, on the lid five almost round skittles, each bearing three balls, above the middle a four-petaled blossom and a fleur-de-lis (fol. 1-3, 33, 53, 75, 90, 122, 128, 147-148); two rounded pillars, each bearing three balls, between them a rectangle with letter M, beneath it a double spiral, above the middle a bunch of 15 grapes (fol. 140); mark almost identical to fol. 1-3, only a trifle longer, and on the belly are now letters P and beneath QR (fol. 156, 212); almost entirely identical watermark as in fol. 156, only the handle is now on the right side [or rather: in one of the two sieves which were used together in the same paper mill, the three letters on the jug's belly got loose and were re-fixed the wrong way round] (fol. 158, 168, 263, 288, 191)
