Manuscripta juridica

[Principal Investigator: G. R. Dolezalek]

Edinburgh, NL Scotland, Adv.MS.25.2.1

Century: XVII medies

Number of folios: not before 1636. 225

Material: chart.

Height: 310

Width: 210

Region and Place of Production: Britannia

Previous shelf mark(s): A.2.35

Cover: contemporary, leather on cardboard

Watermark: fool (fol. 92a, 92c, 220, 222, flyleaf 224) with countermark likening lower case letters 'bl' (throughout the volume, clearly traceable in fol. 92b).

Handwriting: the entire volume was written by only one scribe (with some additions by other hands), and on one type of paper only. The character of handwriting reminds me of volumes owned by the 1st Earl of Haddington, so that I estimate that the volume was still produced before 1650. I also suspect that the present MS was copied from Adv.MS.25.2.4
