  • GERMANN, Martin: Supplement Hagen. Online publication http://www.burgerbib.ch/d/abteilungen/bongarsiana.html [Fully checked in 2015 March]
  • MITTENHUBER, Florian: (Preparatory materials for a new detailed catalogue. I was kindly allowed to peruse them, in March 2015)
  • SHELFMARK SYSTEM: the main stock of manuscripts and old printed editions came from Jacques Bongars (1554–1612). Most of his books had come from French monasteries. In the course of centuries other books were added to the original stock. In the 19th century the manuscripts were numbered. Thereafter other manuscripts were intercalated between the numbers. They got prefix-marks before the number - e.g. 'B 52', 'A 55', 'AA 90', etc.
