Decisiones curiae supremae Scotiae - Practicks 1550-1577: (1576/10/31 - 1577) .
Not foliated. No mention of an author, and no title. The preceding index proves that leaves were lost at the beginning, as it also refers to items before October 1576 - which are not (= no longer) contained in the present MS.
Maitland's Practicks and subsequently Colville's Practicks were penned as if they constituted one long continuous work, rather than two separate works. Many different scribes divided the task among them. They obviously distributed portions of the text among them and worked simultaneously, in order to copy the model MS quickly, and the model MS was obviously not bound but consisted of loose quires so that the scribes could distribute these quires among them for copying. I assume this from the fact that the copy contains blank pages after one type of handwriting ends and before a different character of handwriting begins. In other words: the medieval '{i}petia{/i}'-technique was used to disseminate the text (as explained in the Introduction to the present book).
