[{i}Fol. 133r-144r Rules on probate jurisdiction: reference to Acts of Sederunt and to statutes and to fifty decisions 1503-1587, partly from the Commissars of Edinburgh, partly from the Lords of Council and Session. Many items are taken from Balfour's Practicks, others from the enlarged version of Maitland's collection, and from Colville's collection, but probably none from Sinclair's. Interestingly, the present MS provides some dates for decisions which are not dated in the printed edition of Balfour's Practicks. The text should also be compared to other 16th c. collections of judicial precedent.{/i}] .
