[{i}Interesting explanation on fol. 81r, under the title 'Of sealls and writs passing under them' = fol. 77 ss.:{/i}] Under the Signet are past all common summonses before the Court of Cession[!] and Commission of Tiends, all hornings, inhibitions and other legal dilligences, in the king's name, by autherity[!] of the Court, incident dilligences for citing witnesses ... and Latin precepts upon signature directed to the Privy Seall for expeding matters about(?) favours of the Crowns vassals ... it may be here again briefly noticed that all writts which pass the Signet must be signed be a writer to the Signet - except incident dilligence which must be signed by the Clerk of Court
