Decisiones curiae supremae Scotiae - Practicks 1540-1549 (heavily shortened).

Watermark similar, but not identical to fol. 1r-9v. Headings for the items on the first three leaves are written above the items. Further onward they are written in the margins. Old Scots spellings are often maintained, for instance the word 'nocht' is at times spelled out, and old grammatical forms 'beand' etc. can occasionally be found. This fact suggests that the model MS, from which the scribe copied, had originated in a time when these spellings and grammatical forms were still common = still from the sixteenth century, but the scribe largely applied himself to modernise the spelling and grammar. This copy might thus still preserve other valuable traits, e.g. correct names and dates.

The text of the first items is more or less complete, but towards the middle of Sinclair's collection many items are entirely left out, and others are shortened. In particular, many text passages in Latin are skipped, and so are many of the references to Jus Commune
