[{i}Last paragraph, fol. 79v:{/i}] 17 May 1608. Priestfield excused because of sickness. ... The last Sederunt day in this book is the 21 of May 1608. On the skin of the book in the inside are written: 'Haec dextra vindex principis et patriae' (which was Sir John Ramsey's motto for killing the Earl of Goury). 'Consiliis sceleratis subsidium ab audacia petendum'. 'Auro pulsa fides, auro venalia iura'

The next book of Sederunt begins the 17 of May 1608 and ends the 2d of February 1626, which is amissing, and for recovery whereof there was ane Act of Sederunt made the 22 of November 1677, and a reward promised by proclamation to any who shall discover and produce it.
