Being warned by the note on the flyleaf above, I have controlled items on and before and after pag. 371, in order to see where Colvill's Practicks start. All items pag. 237-416 correspond to items in the Orr MS at Glasgow. The present MS is closely related to the Orr MS. Both MSS insert some items from another contemporary collection, but they insert less items than most other MSS of Maitland's Practicks. The present MS differs from the Orr MS in two regards: the items have headings (which lack in the Orr MS), and the items are dated at their end (whereas the Orr MS dates them at the beginning)
