The scribe mentions the year 1652 - but this is an obvious accidental slip of pen. The work is divided into 20 chapters, but for many of them the scribe did not copy the chapter heading. Each chapter contains a number of short propositions of law. These propositions are numbered. The text is much shorter than the treatise published by Skene in 1609, and it is differently arranged
