Lectura Institutionum

Lectura Institutionum .

In Latin. Loosely following the arrangement of topics in the Institutes, but incorporating many comparative remarks about law in different legal systems (Muslim, Jewish, Chinese law, and tribal law of populations in Africa and Asia). Contents of the first volume: law of persons and family and tutorship, thereafter law of property and obligations, and at the end an incomplete attempt of an index to the law of family and tutorship. Contents of the second volume: law of succession, particularities of land law (tailzies, servitudes etc.), contracts, delicts, criminal law and criminal procedure, general part of the law of obligations (vol. 2 p. 176, including the duty of restitution [pag. 280] and recompense [pag. 287]), quasi-delicts, remainder of topic of private law actions (pag. 300).

I have only shortly browsed through the volumes, and no references to legal literature have caught my eye
