Apparatus ad Digestum vetus: extracta . Fourth layer of glosses. Written in tiny characters, in golden-toned yellowish ink, saec. XIII medies. These might be extracts from the apparatus by Hugolinus de Presbyteris, but it could also be that these are but reworked copies of some of the pencil notes mentioned above. The student who had taken notes in the lecture room may have worked them out in ink, at home, thus creating a fourth layer of glosses
