Index to Practicks 1610/2/20 ss.

Author(s):

  • Thomas Hope of Craighall

Incipit:

  • Acceptatioun of ane band or [and then:] rycht is probabill be witnes

Index to Practicks 1610/2/20 ss. as on fol. 1r-73v, alphabetical. The list was begun 1617/12/30, as noted in the first page's left margin. It is precious because the individual items on fol. 1r-73v bear no headings, and only the present list tells us on which points of law Sir Thomas Hope wanted to focus. Unfortunately the list breaks off incomplete after letter 'H'. A large decorated letter 'I' follows, but there are no more entries. The remainder of fol. 77v is blank, and so are fol. 78-82, which would probably have sufficed to complete the list
