Brocarda iuris civilis ("Edinburgensia")
Incipit:
Explicit:
Brocarda iuris civilis ("Edinburgensia") , saec. XII exeunte vel XIII ineunte. The selection of brocards overlaps in part with the work by Otto, and also with the one by Azo Portius. In most cases, texts to which reference is made are fully copied into the present MS. The source from where they were copied is mentioned at the end - thus not at the beginning (as in other works). No 'solutiones' are given. Azo Portius - in comparison - has many more brocards, and references are arranged differently, and solutiones are provided.
No. of pages: Fol. 135ra-141rc
Incipit:
(Red ink:) Quod ab inicio non valet, ex post facto convalescit. (Normal ink:) C. ad se. con. Ma. Si filius fam. contra(?) patris voluntatem ... [rubric in Azo, also directly following, but it starts with a different allegatio].
(Red ink:) Temporis temperamentum spectandum. (Normal ink:) D. de solutionibus. Quod dicimus ... [this is the second rubric in Azo, but it starts with a different allegatio].
