Ius proprium Scotiae - Practicks (general digest of law, systematic) .

Dark ink. Hastily written. Ugly. Only the first three titles are numbered. Many chapters lack a heading. Where headings are provided, they are written in the left margin. The present MS starts earlier than the printed edition to abridge Balfour's extracts of Acts of Parliament. Already from title 6 onward (= pag. 14) are they replaced by mere references to printed editions of statutes. The printed edition only does so from page 131 onward (title 'Beggars').

[{i}Title, on flyleaf:{/i}] Balfour's Practicks.

[{i}Preface, pag. 1, slightly abridged, King David is not expressly mentioned.{/i}].

The edition's title 169 Commissariat is transposed to the end (here pag. 499-505, in the edition pag. 655-661), breaking off with these words:{/i}] as thay sall think expedient [{i}the rest of the title is omitted = pages 661-677 in the edition{/i}]
