The sheet belongs after pages 1-6 of the second series of numbering. It is thus misbound. Between the last words on page 6 and the first words on this sheet two or maybe even four pages of text are missing. A similar breaking off at the same place also exists in MS Edinburgh, NR Scotland, RH13/70 - which is obviously related to the present MS, but need not be the model from which it was copied

  • Att the first institution of the Session, summonds wer apointed to be called evry day off the weik, according to the table, and evry day of the weik had its oun table, id est its oun proper causes, quhich quhair to be called thairin, and also thair wer some causes quhich might hav bein called any day off the weik, and thes wer under the 'common table'. This order of table is altogither outt of use, except only the 'common table' and the table of Fryday for the Kings caus. The keiper off the table off old wes obleidgit to fix on the Tolbuith wall the row off the tabled causes, but this is out off use, and now he only receaves the summonds and inserts a minut thairoff in a minut book and gives back the summonds to the partie and wreitts upone the bak thairoff 'Tabulat', and subscryves his name (End:) Item actiones before the Lords hath ther dyets off compeirance with continuation off dayes ... currit instantia et non perit.
