Rubric: The maner of the process, ande ordour of schawing of halding, etc. (taken from a manuscript in the Advocate's Library, W. 4. ult., supposed to have been compiled in the reign of James III.) [{i}The last MS which could once be referred to as being 'at the end of shelf W.4' is the present Edinburgh, NL Scotland, Adv.MS.25.4.15. This MS cannot be meant. Yet, it may well be that a different MS stood at the end of shelf W.4 in Thomas Thomson's times.
