Constitutio synodalis . The vice of simony has infected female monasteries to such extent that they have developed a standing practice to request a payment for admittance of new nuns. Applications of females who refuse to pay, or cannot pay the requested price, are turned down. This sinful practice is now expressly forbidden. From now on all females who buy their admission to a monastery will be removed from that monastery to be transferred to another female order whose nuns live under a harsh style of life.
